Yes,
While I’ve done some cam motion tracking experiments in the past, to superimpose 3d animations on top of real life footage, this augmented reality stuff is killing me, I like it a lot. A few months ago I never once heard of the terminology “Augmented reality” while right now it is very much hot and happening. There are applications like Layar (http://layar.com) which brings this technology via the mobile platforms (Android and iPhone) to the masses, today I created a more modest application that works with the flash FLAR framework. In order to do some 3d superimposing over a webcam view you need some kind of tracking information. In this case you don’t have a compass, gps or tilting sensor so we use a tracking marker that is optically recognized, so what you have to do is hold this marker in front of your webcam and this marker is used to calculate a transform matrix for your 3d object. Wow, that’s very nice! I’d love to have a augmented business card.
Dat ziet er erg cool uit. Moet zeggen dat ik ook nog nooit van augmented reality had gehoord. grt René ( B16)
Impressive !!! I really like the rotating logo on the business card ! Makes it look like a Harry Potter newspaper
Well thank you, I’ve never seen a Harry Potter movie in my life, but now I hear this, it’s probably worth watching
You definitely should watch all the harry potter/lord of the rings movies !!!
They have great augmented reality in them (also known as special effects or CGI (Computer Generated Imagery)).
This is something you don’t see in David Lynch movies (accept the great “Dune”)
steekt mijn net ingevoegde waarikzotrotsopbendathetlukte slideshow wel heel schril bij af.
